meet Jennifer, founder and CEO of doorsquad
Connecticut native Jennifer Dunbar had been living in and loving Los Angeles for more than 20 years when she was confronted with a double whammy of big life challenges. As if undergoing treatment for breast cancer wasn’t already stressful enough, she was also trying to manage the long-distance care of her aging parents back in Connecticut. Bringing her mom and dad to Los Angeles seemed like the right move for everyone.
But relocating them from their home of 50 years on the other side of the country was a big endeavor, and Jennifer needed help prepping, selling, and packing the house. She began her google search to find a single relocation company who could handle it all, a company with diverse capabilities who could make the transition seamless. But there just wasn’t one. So, in 2018, Jennifer decided to launch doorsquad.
Happily, Jennifer’s health and family challenges are now behind her, and she loves to focus her energy on helping others with their relocation needs. Building on her Public Policy degree from the University of Southern California and her two decades as a sales and marketing executive in the food and beverage industry, she’s busy meeting new people and growing the doorsquad business. She loves sports (particularly USC basketball), the outdoors, cooking, live music at the Hollywood Bowl—and most of all, coaching and spending time with her sons Miles and Davis.
