When faced with moving 4 children ages 11 and under (a set of 3 year old twins) and two elderly cats in the middle of a pandemic, Door squad came to the rescue and more than rose to the challenge.
From our first meeting, Jennifer Dunbar inspired confidence. She listened carefully to our concerns and was able to leverage her relationships to find the best move at the best price for us. She and I walked through every room in our condo as she video conferenced with a moving company to give me a quote. She coordinated donation for the furniture we didn’t want to move. Our quote was then completely comprehensive and we were able to tailor it down to meet our budget.
The two days of moving went seamlessly. Jennifer, her assistant and the moving crew arrived promptly at 7:30 one morning to pack us up. We vanished for the day, and when we came home that night our beds were ready for us, along with the coffee maker and mugs for the next morning. There was literally nothing for us to do.
The next morning, Jennifer and her team came back to move the boxes to our new home. Again, we headed out around 7:30 as they got to work. My husband went to the office and I went to the new house. Jennifer and the movers arrived around 12:00 and started unloading boxes. Although we didn’t choose an unpacking option, they still had time to completely set up our closets and make our beds. Jennifer and her assistant had taken careful notes on furniture placement and location of boxes, so that everything ended up in the room we wanted it in.
Having Jennifer and her assistant Allegra manage the moving and directing the movers meant that I was able to focus on my children, and my husband was able to focus on work as opposed to being distracted by all the tiny details of moving. Time is our most valuable commodity and Door Squad gave us back a big chunk.
